Dermal Fillers

Would you like to get rid of wrinkles and folds on your face?
Do you wish to enhance your lips, or improve the contour of your nose?
The answer to your needs is “Dermal Fillers”

Dermal Fillers instantly smooth out your wrinkles, folds and enhance the shape and volume of your lips, nose and cheeks. They are made of Hyaluronic acid- a naturally occurring ingredient in our body including our skin that creates and maintains skin volume and texture, resulting in a healthy and vital appearance.

Fillers can be used alone or in combination with other treatment modalities to give you the final appearance you are looking for. You will have to follow the post treatment advice to maximise the results and minimise side-effects if any.

Please be assured that we use only clinically proven and approved brands of fillers produced by well-known labs worldwide.

+ What are dermal fillers?

Dermal Fillers are sterile gel preparations that are made of Hyaluronic acid-a naturally occurring ingredient in our body including our skin that creates and maintains skin volume and texture, resulting in a healthy and vital appearance. Fillers can be used alone or in combination with other treatment modalities to give you the final appearance you are looking for.

+ How does it work?

Dermal fillers are injected directly into or below the skin to instantly smooth out your wrinkles, folds and enhance the shape and volume of your lips, nose and cheeks.

+ Does it hurt?

A degree of discomfort may be encountered but it is not usually painful. Certain areas like the lips are more sensitive. Many dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic to provide pain relief during the injection; we may also apply a topical anaesthetic cream prior to treatment to numb the skin.

+ What areas can be injected with dermal fillers?

Lips enhancement, correction of facial folds like nose to mouth folds, cheek contouring and nose reshaping are a few of the areas where dermal fillers can be used to enhance your appearance.

A special type of fillers can be used to restore the “aesthetic look” of the intimate area, commonly known as ‘vaginal puff”.

+ What happens after the treatment?

It is expected that you will see an improvement straight away although due to initial swelling, the product may feel lumpy or asymmetrical immediately afterwards. The final results are best seen at 2 weeks. Depending on the product used and the area treated, results may last from 4-12 months. Most people are able to continue with normal activities. Some will have some redness, pin- prick marks, swelling (particularly following a lip treatment) which should settle in a short time.

+ Is it safe?

All potential risks and complications will be discussed and explained to you prior to any treatment being done.
Adverse events are uncommon, usually occur within a few days of treatment and are expected to be temporary, usually resolving spontaneously within weeks. Potential serious complications are very rare and will be elaborated upon to you during the pre-treatment consultation. You will have to follow the post treatment advice to maximise the results and minimise side-effects if any.

+ Any reason(s) I can’t have dermal fillers?

  • If you are under 18 years.
  • If you are pregnant, breast feeding or trying for a baby.
  • Known allergy to local anaesthetics, or any of the filler formulation components.
  • Active or ongoing infection.
  • Several other health and skin conditions and medications may have an impact on your treatment. A detailed medical questionnaire and clinical assessment are done beforehand to check your suitability to be injected with dermal fillers.
